Let's quote Classic 21, more qualified than Rock & Folk: “One of the most promising talents in Belgian rock today”. Born in Bruges, he spent a large part of his life in Africa, where his musical career took shape. African rhythms but also Anglo-Saxon melodies (Riders Of The Storm being for him THE revelation) that his Dad introduced him to, pushed this likeable young man to put his foot down. Back in Belgium, he played for several years with his band Cheeky Jack, then decided to create his own solo project. A trip to Wales led to his discovery of the Weissenborn guitar, a kind of lapsteel that is played flat on the knees. A generous artist with an uncommon sensitivity and a pure voice, inspired by Ben Harper and the John Butler Trio, he reinvents the sound of Blues and Rock for a new generation hungry for authenticity and passion. To listen to him is to get off the beaten track and breathe in the air of a rootsy-sounding culture.
